In Architecture, Events, Gallery Shows, MassArt on February 5, 2012 at 7:46 pm

If you haven’t been to the MassArt Bakalar and Paine Galleries for this show, it’s not too late. I was hired as one of the event photographers for the opening reception. Here’s one of my shots:

In Architecture, MassArt, Solar Decathlon on September 23, 2011 at 9:56 am

You might know that I’m the photographer and blogger for Team Massachusetts in the Solar Decathlon. Think to yourself, would you live in a house like this? Then go vote for Team Massachusetts: http://www.solardecathlon.gov/poll/pca/pca_register.php

Keeping Track of Team Massachusetts

In Architecture, MassArt, Photography, Solar Decathlon, Technology, Video, Volunteerism on September 7, 2011 at 7:49 am

The Solar Decathlon 2011 is the reason why I haven’t updated my blogs since May. As the Team Massachusetts documentarian (Photographer and Social Media Coordinator) I have been following their construction progress in Boston, and at Epoch Homes in NH. I bought an intervalometer for time-lapse photography. This is the most popular of our time-lapses. It’s the assembly of the house modules.

Busy v2.0 at Pecha Kucha 22

In Architecture, Career, Events, Fun, MassArt, Photography, Solar Decathlon on April 11, 2011 at 10:18 am

It’s been two months since I’ve had the chance to update this blog. Tonight you will find out why in my second presentation for Pecha Kucha Boston. This time the venue is in Cambridge, at the Oberon Theater. I will cap-off the night by talking about the great new things I’ve been experiencing and pursuing in the Studio for Interrelated Media at MassArt for the past year. Here’s more about tonight’s event: http://pechakuchaboston.org/22/

Overload

In Architecture, Events, Gallery Shows, MassArt, Solar Decathlon on February 11, 2011 at 5:45 am

This Spring Semester started-off with returning from NAHB IBS 2011 with our Solar Decathlon team, and working on the usual print and web tasks. Then I had both of my proposals accepted by the MassArt Student Life Gallery, “TEXT” and “Defense”. I was asked to come to the MassArt Freshman fair to represent the Studio for Interrelated Media. Just found out this week two of my proposals to the Children’s Museum‘s May Asian Pacific show were accepted. All the while, I have a full course load in Illustration, Choreography, Beat Research, Studio, and the Team Massachusetts Social Media Posts. Wish me luck (I’ll need it).

Sustainability Initiative

In Architecture, Career, MassArt, Solar Decathlon, Volunteerism on October 30, 2010 at 12:00 pm

Because of my work with the Solar Decathlon, and association with my husband, Seth Holmes, AIA, LEED A.P., I have been invited by the Sustainability Initiative group at MassArt, led by Associate Professor Jane Marsching, to attend a two hour summit in November to discuss the future of sustainability curricula at MassArt.

Moving On…

In Architecture, Career, MassArt on July 29, 2010 at 10:47 pm

Today, I officially turned in my resignation letter at Payette as Model Services Coordinator and August 20th is tentively my last day. I have worked for the firm for nearly six years, learned much over my time there, and worked on several life-altering projects. Now I break forth, immersing myself into the MassArt community! I will be attending the Studio for Interrelated Media full-time, while working for the department as a consultant and back-up department representative in the Student Government Association. I will also be folded-in with the architecture department in the Solar Decathlon efforts, collaborating with MassArt/MassArt Foundation’s PR and Marketing teams.

Exciting, but still need some freelance jobs to get by. Let me know if someone needs support in some way. I tutor software and web design, also!
